Content creation is a fundamental and necessary part of any business. It's not just one more thing you need to worry about - it can be the solution to your problems. But how do you know when content creation will work for your business?

The first step is identifying what type of problem(s) you're facing that could benefit from content. This blog post will outline some common scenarios, and offer advice on how they might be solved with content.

Not enough sales leads

Let’s start with one of the most common struggles out there - sales.

Content marketing has been proven time and again that people are more likely to buy products after reading an article about them than they would if they were approached with a hard sell by a salesman.

So you may be do we create content that will get people to buy from us? The first step is identifying who your target audience is and what they want. You need to know if they are looking for a product or service that solves their problem, for example: do they want something new - like the latest iPhone? Do they need assistance with an existing product or service - like customer support? Once you identify what your potential customers are looking for, it's time to take action. Connect the dots for them on how your product or service is the answer to their problem. From there, creating the content should be easy!

Trouble hiring quality employees

People want to work for a company that aligns with their values. Hiring the right person is an investment. You spend time and money on them, but if they don't fit within your culture it can cost more than just finances.

If you want to get the best candidates for your company, you need to have an online presence that is both informative and engaging. Content creation helps businesses share their story with potential employees and allows them to find people who will be excited about what they do. Quality content attracts quality applicants who are driven by a sense of purpose and have a desire to grow in their careers.

It’s too expensive and time-consuming

Another common misconception we hear from businesses is that content marketing is too expensive. The ironic thing is, content marketing is one of the best ways to market and advertise your products without spending too much money. It doesn't require any big upfront costs like TV or radio advertising because it relies on inbound traffic from search engines and social media channels.

The secret is to make your content work for you! You don’t have to constantly be producing new content each and every month. Find ways to make the most of the content you already have. For example, we just had a shoot with a client where we shot an entire year’s worth of content in one day. Sure, it took some thought and planning ahead of time. But at the end of the day - it was so much easier on everyone involved! And - it ends up costing you (the marketer) less and saving you time. Our opinion? A little bit of money down now will be well worth it.
